Previously, we discussed the benefits of hiring professionals to install your residential windows rather than attempting to do it yourself. We now explain how Renewal by Andersen® takes professional window replacement to a new level.
Full-Service Window Company
The end-to-end window replacement process involves many steps: from design, to manufacture and finally to installation. A typical window replacement process begins with consultations from a window company taking design specs from the homeowner, which are then sent to a window manufacturer. The windows are constructed and then delivered to the home and installed at a given date. Many window companies subcontract to third parties, like the window manufacturer, the delivery service and the installers. While this practice may help lower the project cost, it can backfire because it means the window company doesn’t have control over every aspect of the process.
This is why we chose to own the entire process. Our own consultants sit down with our customers and help them find the right replacement windows. Our craftsmen in our Minnesota facility hand-build every window to perfection; our own logistics people deliver the windows using our own trucks; and our expert installers will ensure that every window installation—from the simplest double hung windows to the most complicated bow window designs—will be nothing short of perfect.
The Renewal by Andersen Installation Process
Our installation team always arrives on time. Upon arrival, our team leader will discuss the project details with you. The team will then begin preparing the areas around the windows. The areas surrounding either side of your windows are protected by drop cloths. Furniture and appliances will be carefully moved out of the way and covered by dust covers. Our installers will wear shoe covers to prevent tracking dirt indoors.
We will then remove your old windows and inspect and repair any issues with your wall openings. Once the openings are ready, our crew will position, adjust, level and shim the new windows and seal the surrounding gaps with foam insulation, which is then covered by trim. Once finished, our team will thoroughly clean your home and dispose of your old windows. We won’t leave until you are satisfied.
